This year at the Aero India, Suryakiran and Sarang air display teams performed simultaneously. This was a unique experience never attempted before. IAF air displays has improved and matured over the years.
I was lucky to lead the IAF team to Singapore airshow in year Feb 2004. Both Suryakiran and Sarang Team performed at the airshow and stole the heart of millions of people attending the show. Their enthralling performance mesmerized all present. The experience gave goosebumps just being there amongst the crowd when not flying with the team.
Had made the following PowerPoint shows that year.

Thanks for sharing. The SKAT performance looks awesome !
They are awesome indeed.
Thanks
great display and the one you shared was with kirans which had own share of problems. total professionalism
Suryakirans were on Kiran Mk II in 2004
In the Suryakirans this year we had a supremely motivated youngster in Sqn Ldr TJ Singh. He had ejected in the Suryakirans accident in Aero India 2019 and broken both his thighs… if I remember correctly one femur was in three pieces. Kudos to the medics who stabilised and air evacuated him and the Ortho team at CHAF that fixed both femurs the same day.
The young pilot’s grit and determination was equalled by the labourious effort of Physiotherapists.
To get back to A1G1 and then to revalidate his aerobatic skills quickly thereafter has been a most remarkable saga.
Yeah yeah Indian Air Force!
Wow
Hats off to the young aviator and the medical fraternity.
Sir why don’t you write the full story for benefit of others.
So good to hear, Deepak! True professionalism, all around!
God bless all those involved: the medics, Ortho team, Physio team and most of all, the young pilot!
Awesome …
Thanks
Nice one, Chhotu!
Nostalgia for me: led the Suryakiran contingent in 2007 for displays at Kuala Lumpur (alongside the Red Arrows!), Langkawi (LIMA Airshow) and Bangkok (Don Mueang). They are truly Ambassadors of the Indian Air Force …and India!
Took both teams together to Singapore air show in 2004.
