Brief : Tenzing Dhendup was the second of the two Bhutanese cadets in Kilo 55. A fun loving person, adept at most games. His short stature and extremely well developed calf muscles were an asset in gymnastics. He would be flying over the vaulting horse while the rest of us laggards slammed into its side. Being from the mountainous areas of Bhutan, cycling was a strange activity for him, which he improved on, while at the Academy. Tenzing was commissioned into the Royal Bhutan Army in 1979 but left in 1988 to start his own business. Passed away unfortunately at the peak of his life due to a sudden respiratory infection. Misfortune seems to have struck the family again when their son passed away a few years ago. He is now survived by his wife and a daughter.

Brief : A light on feet cadet, gentle by nature, sharp in academics, silent operator who surprised the Sqn, may be himself too when he made the mark amongst first three in NDA cross country in our third term. There was no looking back and he donned the tabs of SSC in our 6th Semester. The Sqn could not have asked a more mature and decent soul than Arul as the head of the Sqn. Under his leadership the Sqn could come to the right most position of the left half - in drill square before we passed out. We lost Arul in an air crash during training sortie - as they say, "God takes away good people for himself". RIP buddy. You are with us in our heart.

Branch / Corps / Regt: Naval Aviation   Rank: Lieutenant (IN)
DOB: 04-November     DOB Spouse:       Wedding Anniversary:
Brief : An Alumnus of Sainik School Bhuvneshwar, Indu was a pure soul, who will not hurt an ant also (the face, see picture again, says it all). Very strong on convictions, which actually gave him strength, he was soft physically, to the extent many a times our 'Ragra' by senior cadets had to be stopped as he would start bleeding from the head while doing front roles !!! "Thanks Indu for saving us many a ragging sessions". Very bright in academics, he would correct my English till the last letters we exchanged. Indu had great sense of humour, a flair for poetry and introduced us to the art of colour painting black and white photos. Indu had endeared himself to all course mates by his sincerity, purity of heart - the most decent soul i must have come across. We lost Indu in an air crash, when the Sea King he was navigating crashed in the sea. RIP buddy - you will always be there with us in our heart.
