{"id":1079,"date":"2020-07-12T10:40:09","date_gmt":"2020-07-12T10:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/55nda.com\/ndablog\/?p=1079"},"modified":"2020-07-22T13:05:50","modified_gmt":"2020-07-22T13:05:50","slug":"soldier-brave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/55nda.com\/ndablog\/2020\/07\/12\/soldier-brave\/","title":{"rendered":"SOLDIER BRAVE"},"content":{"rendered":"By Satyesh Bhaduri.<br \/><br \/>SOLDIER BRAVE<br \/><br \/>As the Soldier laid his head to rest,<br \/>An angel alighted on his breast,<br \/>Under a shady spreading tree,<br \/>In a dulcet tone she spoke sweetly.<br \/><br \/>Why so weary&#8230;Soldier Proud!!!,<br \/>Worried Mein and Shoulders Bowed,<br \/>You walked the land brave and tall,<br \/>Amidst thundering drums and Trumphet Calls.<br \/><br \/>The soldier answered her with a silent sob,<br \/>Soldiering is now just a job,<br \/>No glory..or glamour..no fame,<br \/>Keepers have died with the flame.<br \/><br \/>We joined with hope and spirits high,<br \/>Held high the head and let banners fly,<br \/>The Nation called..its people cried,<br \/>But spirits died and courage died.<br \/><br \/>The flags do flutter..the Anthem just a call,<br \/>And valiant soldiers yet do fall,<br \/>To finish the wars the people had made,<br \/>Dieing unmourned without a bade.<br \/><br \/>Die in Jungles..snowy white winter,<br \/>Storms and Freezing Winds do not bother, <br \/>Yet no tears are shed..no maidens weep,<br \/>But the soldier..SOLDIER ON..he has TRUST to keep.<br \/><br \/>No odes are sung, no people cry,<br \/>Who cares when Soldier Dies?,<br \/>In lonely lands..they breathe their last,<br \/>For causes forgotten  and already past.<br \/><br \/>While the soldier is awake every night,<br \/>Asking if he has the right,<br \/>Writhing and Turning in silent rage,<br \/>Mourning the passing of glorious days.<br \/><br \/>A ghost Army marches past,<br \/>Steps dragging..eyes downcast,<br \/>Looking disdainful in silent scorn,<br \/>For is this why the SOLDIER IS BORN.<br \/><br \/>The angel..now she spoke her mind,<br \/>Tears in her eyes, her voice kind,<br \/>Grieve not,&#8221;OH SOLDIER BRAVE&#8221;<br \/>A thousand warriors shall spring from the Grave.<br \/><br \/>Soon again the Nations shall Rise,<br \/>Honour it&#8217;s dead.. The Brave and the Wise,<br \/>Your wounded heart will forget the pain,<br \/>The PHOENIX shall rise again.<br \/><br \/>The darkness now melted away,<br \/>Light and hope instead hold the sway,<br \/>The Ghost Army raised a mighty Cheer,<br \/>Lonely path seemed bright and Clear.<br \/><br \/>A Soldier&#8217;s work is never done,<br \/>Till the last enemy is on the Run,<br \/>Life and Death are simply defined,<br \/>TRUE SOLDIERS ARE BORN TO DIE.<br \/><br \/>My Humble Prize Awarding poem .
