Golf featured in the Summer Olympic Games in 1900 at Paris and 1904 at St. Louis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thereafter it was it was reinstated in 2016 Summer Olympics.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualification for the Olympics is based primarily upon the Official World Golf Ranking (men) and Women’s World Golf Rankings.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Total of 60 players compete for the medal.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Top 15 of each gender automatically qualify (with a limit of four per country), and then the highest ranked players from countries that had not yet already qualified (Max two players) are added.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Stroke play is used at the Games, with athletes playing four rounds of 18 holes (72 Holes) over four days.<\/span><\/p>\n

USA is the leader in the medal tally of so far conducted tournaments with 12 medals followed by Great Britain with 3 medals.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Japan has nearly 2000 golf courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kasumigaseki is the venue for Tokyo 2020 Men\u2019s & Women\u2019s golf competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is one of the oldest and most prestigious historic courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was founded in 1929, and has hosted many events world, Asian and Japanese tournaments.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is a 7466 yard par-71 course.<\/span><\/p>\n

Results (Men Tournament)<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gold Medal<\/u>: The Men\u2019s Olympic golf event gold was won by American Xander Schauffele. He won by one stroke with an 18 under par performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Silver medal<\/u>: Won by Rory Sabbatini playing for Slovakia. He performed 17 under par.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0Bronze<\/u>: Won by Pan Cheng-tsung of Chinese Taipei finishing 15 under power. Pan technically finished T3 with six other golfers but beat them all on the fourth playoff hole for the bronze medal.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Indian men\u2019s team was represented by 34-year-old Anirban Lahiri and 30-year-old Udayan Mane. Lahiri finished tied-42nd with score of 5-under par and Mane finished 56th with\u00a03-over par.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s team of India is being represented by, Aditi Ashok age 23 and Diksha Dagar, age 20. Their competition is from 04 to 07 August.<\/span><\/p>\n
